Facility and Fields

 

 

Sandlot Sports is comprised of a new 17,000 sq ft, climate controlled baseball/softball training building and 3 outdoor infields. A description of our building and fields is below:

Our Building – The Sandlot’s 17,000 sq ft baseball/softball practice building is a brand new, climate controlled, structure containing 9 hitting “tunnels”, pitching mounds, a pro shop, wi-fi lounge, party room, and restroom facilities.   The lighting in our facility is first rate and ideal for indoor baseball/softball training.  Our floor is covered with artificial turf allowing for safe indoor infield practice.  



Our Outdoor Fields – Behind The Sandlot’s main building sits 3 outdoor infields and 4 full sized practice fields.   We have 1 major league sized infield, a “Little League” sized infield, and an all-dirt softball infield.  Behind the infields sit our 4 full sized practice fields that team can utilize for infield / outfield drills and batting practice.  Fields can be reserved by membership holders, day pass users, and rented by teams or groups.


Our Party Room – Our birthday party room is built for standard sized gatherings and birthday parties.  Teams can utilize the party room for meetings/ strategy sessions, and some of our personal training will be conducted in this room.  

Our Wi-fi Lounge – Our wi-fi “waiting room” is ideal for parents who want to relax or work while their son or daughter is training in our facility.   The Sandlot will have internet stations, refreshments, HD televisions, and comfortable seating for your use.

Our Pitching Machines - Sandlot Sports offers 3 Ultimate Trainer machines for use by our membership and day pass holders.  A description of these machines is below:

 

Ultimate Trainer Machine - The patented Ultimate Trainer Pitching machine is one of the most advanced pitching machines in the world. Instead of just supplying single-speed pitches to a station, the Ultimate Trainer allows each hitter to select from four speeds of baseball and softball (both slow and fast pitch).

Accuracy is the hallmark of the Ultimate Trainer machine, and the hitter can view the ball for one full second before the pitch all the way through delivery. This gives the batter the best possible timing of the pitch as the ball is constantly in view before, during, and after the mechanism accelerates the ball.

Hitters can also enjoy the ability to adjust the height of the pitch. The machine uses seven positions (three above and three below the starting position) that each move the ball 8" each. The result is 4' of available adjustment to match any batter's height choice.
